Testimonials

"Many many thanks for your excellent help with my lower back condition. I greatly appreciate your advice on many fronts and extremely clear explanation of the MRI scan. It was particularly good of you also to arrange to see me so quickly for the follow up consultation. I know this will not have been entirely straight forward to arrange given the tight turn around time involved and it was very helpful to be able to transfer between hospitals to speed matters up.

I very much appreciate this lightning fast action."

“Just want to say a massive thank you for fitting me in last Monday for another round of injections, it has taken all my symptoms away and I have no pain. Kindest regards."

“Just a little update for you- the last ten days my recovery has really stepped up- I am pretty much pain free most days at the moment., I have only taken pain killers on 2 occasions this last week, I have been doing 10,000 steps a day most days for the last fortnight, and the icing on the cake I got back on the horse today for the first time too- just a ten minutes walk but it’s a start. So glad I decided to go down the op route -another 4 weeks before I hit the 12 week mark but I feel like by then I will be good to get on with life no holes barred! Thank You.”

"Mr Osei has an engaging personality and takes a serious approach to patients suffering considerable pain. He is well informed and when giving a diagnosis is clear and precise. I was paying for my Consultation with him and for the necessary MRI scan, plus medication. Having discovered the problem, he offered me two options and at no time did I feel he was “selling” the hospital option, but instead he was actually taking great care to ensure that I had the best possible remedy to stop the severe pain that I was suffering. I chose to try the tablets route and within a matter of hours much of the pain had subsided. Having spent 12 days in bed, hardly able to walk with one GP after another prescribing different pills, an X ray and a “some time in the future” physiotherapy appointment, I decided that private treatment was the solution. The treatment took place quickly, over 2 days, and I am thankful that I met Mr Osei and that I was in a position to pay my way out of pain. I would recommend him to anyone with spinal problems and severe back pain."

"I wish to say how profoundly grateful I am to have been able to speak to you in person today. Thank you so much also for bringing your care, committed action and humour to a stressful circumstance. These are key qualitites that I bring to the way I work. It is v meaningful to me to be on the receving end!.

I know Wayne will be in good hands when he sees you tomorrow. He is quite likely to downplay his level of pain: as you picked up, he is very stoic."

“Happy new year, it has been nearly a year since you fused my back, as Kath and I are now well and truly living the dream in Spain I thought I would take this opportunity to update you on my progress. I now have zero pain in my back apart from an occasional dull ache but this is very rare now, as for my sporting activities I have covered over 10,000 km on my road bike since moving here in June, although I am nursing a broken right clavicle, due to a slight disagreement with a road, but this seems to be mending itself without the need for surgery.

The difference in my whole well being since my operation has been astonishing and I would like to thank you for all your expertise and time into making such a difference, Kath and I would like to wish you and your family a very happy and prosperous new year and that you continue to improve people's lives like you have with mine. All the best from Spain."

“I am very happy that I chose Spire Harpenden Hospital to have my surgery. I was very impressed with the speed of the diagnosis. Mr Osei, my consultant was very helpful and knowledgeable and made me feel at ease. He also saw me after the procedure to make sure I was okay. I was also impressed with the physiotherapist who got me out of bed and walking, making me feel confident that I was able to go home to rest. I am pleased with the care I received at Spire Harpenden Hospital, and would definitely recommend it to others”.
